Non-Alcoholic Tequila Sunrise

Named for the gradient it creates in the glass — deep red grenadine rising through orange juice into golden tequila — the Sunrise is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the Alcohol-Free Tequila and orange juice. Stir gently.
  3. Slowly pour the grenadine over the back of a spoon so it sinks to the bottom, creating the sunrise gradient.
  4. Do not stir — let the layers speak for themselves.
  5. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

Why This Works

This drink is built on density. Grenadine is heavier than orange juice, so poured slowly down the inside of the glass, it sinks and settles into the sunrise gradient the drink is named for. The layering isn't a trick — it means your first sips are bright citrus and your last are deep pomegranate sweetness. The drink changes as you go.

Orange juice provides both the body and most of the acidity, which is why freshly squeezed matters. The alcohol-free tequila's earthy agave note keeps all that juice grounded — without it, this is simply breakfast.

Resist the urge to stir. The gradient is the experience: aroma and brightness up top, richness below, and a slow blending in between that no mixed version can replicate.

The Alcohol-Free Swap

Alcohol-Free Tequila has the clean agave backbone this drink was built for — it lets the orange juice shine while anchoring the whole thing.
